On another note, I have to say that PIP is a feature I effectively stopped using entirely once I got a PVR. The 2 or 3 times I have used it in the last few years have been to have PVR content on the main screen and some live item I was tracking (news, sports or closed circuit video) in the PIP box. If you think about it, why would you want PIP watching PVR recordings? If one of the recordings is doing something dull, you fast forward it to where it's interesting, and watch that part, then you do the same with the other recording. If you want to watch something live in the PIP box, your TV's built-in PIP will do that job for you. They almost all have those. But perhaps I miss something. Why do you want to use PIP on two different recordings? Because the other answer to the "more tuners" question is to have another backend. Indeed, I think the right answer is to have the big, noisy backend with all the tuners far away, and the nice silent SFF frontend next to the TV with perhaps one tuner and possiby not even a disk drive. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
