After long trials on getting both my PVR-350 and HD-3000 working under

there any reason to, on my MythTV-only box, not use a 2.4.x kernel.
The default install is 2.4.27-2-686, and if there aren't any major
reasons for me to go to a 2.6.x kernel then I'm going to try my luck
under the default one. So, am I asking for trouble by doing so?

Thanks much,

I think it depends on your other hardware... Debian sarge with 2.6.8 is working great for me on a gigabyte Nforce3 with a PVR250. I'm using ivtv 2rc3.

I had 2.4.26 had some problems with various nforce2 (and 3?) chipsets, I think maybe .27 has that fixed. But I don't believe it supports the Nforce3 SATA hardware properly.
