Read the help on mplayer / mencoder which comes along with mplayer. At minimum, I have used combination of ptune.pl + mencoder to record programs. ptune.pl comes with ivtv drivers for PVR-350 (find such suitable utility for your card). mencoder can be used just like you are trying to encode the movie(see documentation). I would suggest using lavc as codec for video as it is pretty fast. VJ
