I recently split my combination frontend/backend system into separate
systems. Here are the configurations:

Backend:
Fedora Core 3 (Used Jarod's installation guide)
Myth Version 0.16.20040906-1
PVR 250
Asus A7N8X-E
1GB memory
250GB SATA Drive
FX5200 (No TV connected)

Frontend:
Fedora Core 3 (Used Jarod's installation guide)
Myth Version 0.16.20040906-1
Asus A7N8X-E
512MB memory
40GB Drive
FX5200 (composite to TV-OUT)

If I watch Live TV I do not get any errors. (Everything works fine)
If I watch previously recorded shows - I get the following error:

        The Backend System gets:

WriteBlock(): Aborting WriteBlock, write to socket failed!
2 -1
15 0[]:[]225536000
2 ok
....

        The FrontEnd System gets:

ac-tex damaged at 28 19
concealing errors
Warning MVs not available

Once the error occurs - the TV screen goes back to the 'select a
recording to view'

Some of the things I have tested/checked:

        1) If I run the FrontEnd and Backend on the same machine I do not have
this problem.
        2) I have recorded various shows today - I cannot watch them on remote
frontend. I always get the error above...
        3) It does not appear to be a bandwidth problem since live TV works
fine...
        4) Both systems are at 90%+ idle

Any suggestions?

I will post more data points - log files - etc if needed...

Thanks,
Greg
