One of the things that doesn't get enough understanding in the DRM and
BF debates is that you can indeed, with work, in officially blessed
systems, implement any feature that has already been thought of, if
you want it enough. With complex hoops, keys can be granted to the
machines in your house to let them read the encrypted recordings the
flag effectively mandates.

The problem is that there's often no way to implement new features that
weren't thought of when the DRM was designed. Innovation stops.
That's why Myth and the other systems are important. Anybody can come
in with a new idea.
