You'll want to remember in your evaluation of MythTV that a 650Mhz machine will really affect your experience. I'd suggest getting something closer to 1Ghz if possible. Either way, if you want to watch while that box is recording you'd have to get something that would decode in hardware like the Hauppauge PVR-350.
