Is the version number on a sticker with a serial number or > something similar? you can use 'any' xbox as a front end. the older ones are just a bit easier to mod. if you want to chip your xbox then (i believe) the 1.4 (possibly 1.5) and older you can do without soldering. currently the new, 1.6, versions require soldering. however, if you don't need/want the features offered by using a mod chip there are software hacks. someone posted success on using one of the soft hacks on a 1.6 version just the other day. search the Myth archives, i don't remember if they had details or a link or if they just stated success. you can also get a ton of info at xbox-scene.com. > > Finally, while I don't yet have an HDTV, I eventually will.
