All, When I'm watching live tv, I've noticed I get some blurry blockiness in places. This usually occurs with things like grass, people's cheeks, in general anywhere where the color is not smooth and uniform. By blockiness, I mean the same artifacts I would see if I watched a lower resolution mpeg blowup full screen on my large lcd monitor. I'm using a pvr-250 for capture at 480x480 with myth's default bit rate.
I fiddled with the bitrate and resolution a bit, but I'm not sure what effect this should have. I guess my question is where does this blockiness come from and what effect should I see in the picture when I change the bit rate, resolution etc. thanks, Nick
