I'm curious what are the lowest costs people see for say a tube type device with a dvi or vga connector so you don't need one. Also what about a rear projection type screen with either?
A 22" monitor on pricewatch runs $263 shipped and has both dvi/vga. At first glance it seems pretty good. It certainly seems better than many tv's would be. Given that the adapter mentioned by someone was $100 it might be worth a look at using a monitor, if you don't need more than 22 inches..
At any rate I was just curious as to what people found cost effective for high quality output for myth besides connecting with a s-video cable.
