I would like to use mythtv's internal volume control. I was able to do
this just fine when using onboard sound (intel_8x0). However, now that
I have installed a SB Live 5.1, can no longer do this. I pipe
everything through my receiver via SPDIF. Therefore, my volume is
controlled with the AC97 slider in alsamixer. Since the Master and PCM
sliders don't have an effect on volume, it seems I cannot get mythtv to
control volume internally.
Is there a way to have myth adjust the AC97 volume, or is there a way in
alsa to have the master slider affect AC97?
