I'm seeing the same issue.. I'm on a pvr-250 with fedora core2. Same errors exactly, when you go to watchtv and it will sputter a second or two and drop back to the myth menu.
I tried resetting up my card and channel settings, no luck with that.
Anyone solved this one?
Thanks in advance!

Hello All,
I just updated to .17 via the rpms and immediately got the problem related
to MythPhone when trying to boot the frontend. Removed MythPhone and got
the frontend up, but now MythTV is giving me the following errors:
1. Warns of no sound going to Live TV, but works in MythVideo and
MythMusic:
2005-02-12 14:22:42.596 Opening audio device 'spdif'.
ALSA lib control.c:654:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL /dev/mixer

2005-02-12 14:22:50.120 Realtime priority would require SUID as root.
Don't know what happened - do I need a new verson of ALSA perhaps?
2. Upon trying to watch Live TV (with no audio) it shows the video for a
few seconds, locks up, and then goes back to the main menu:
2005-02-12 14:22:50.140 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV

Do I need to update QT or something perhaps? I've seen people talking about
this but an apt-get update qt shows I have the latest version I think.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Chris
