Seems like you're using spdif output, so using myth's internal volume control is moot (I use spdif out and just turn this setting off in the mythtv setup, or else I get errors like what you're seeing). Or make sure you have alsa's oss emulation modules loaded. > > 2. I had this problem when I first upgraded, but I couldn't recall what voodoo I used to fix it - IIRC, I restarted both the backend and the frontend, and all was good.
