I see the that there are PCI cards for satellite systems that include pcmcia or

the capabilities of the Air2PC but that includes (for example) Cable Card
authorization?
I can imagine pulling the stream off the card to hard disk via MythTV still
encrypted, but can't play it back without having an authorized Cable Card.
Or maybe you can just pull the encrypted stream off with the Air2PC and MythTV,
and if you have a Cable Card in your TV it can decode it during playback?
Either way sounds "legalish" and let me get all my encrypted streams recorded
and played back via MythTV under Linux. Does anyone know of such a thing or have hopes
such a thing will come to be?
I'm going to go ahead and order an Air2PC probably today just so I can get some digital
cable and OTA HDTV. But "I want it All" (tm).
Cheers,
Mike
Really doubt this becomes available before July 05, which is when the
broadcast flag comes into effect. Even if it comes out afterwards, I
doubt myth will be able to use any card that obeys the boradcast flag.
So you will have to just keep on wanting it all, cause it doesnt look
like youll get it all at all.
