I've been doing some experimenting with it, and it appears that the Video is playing as fast as it can, without regard to audio sync. If I pause for 15-20 seconds, the audio is perfect after that, but the video plays at something like 3x until it hits the end of the buffer, then it is all jumpy. The same happens with recordings, but it seems as though the video and audio try to stay in sync more. The result is bad audio AND video.
I have .17 Thacs RPMs (the latest as of now), with Mandrake Cooker, kernel 2.6.10, Nvidia drivers 6629. I've tried with Bob deint, Kernel deint (almost no change in CPU from Bob), and NO Deint, all with the same results. Here are the last few lines of the verbose log:

.16 worked perfectly for both recordings and TV.
Another problem I am having is that if I go into more than one recording or stop and start watching live TV, the frontend crashes. Not sure what the deal is.
