the reason why i wasn't getting a live TV picture before is that I was getting errors like "X error: Bad Alloc", but I solved those by placing the line Option "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps" in the fglrx "Device" section of my /etc/xorg.conf file. Now, my CPU usage is around 20%, which is much better. The only problem now that my video is tinted blue. I started a separate thread about that, so check that out if you are interested. - e
