I am typing this about 35 feet away!  Can't see the screen, so coming
back.

Radio keyboards _can_ have longer range but my own searches show
that most of them tend to have only 5' or so.  Only a few specialty
high power ones do the super long range.

Radio has the advantage you don't have to point it, and objects
don't block it.   However, you can't beat the price and range of
this lite-on.   Especially when it was $20 with free shipping.

I don't know which takes more power, but I have lots of rechargeable
batteries so it's not a big issue for me.
