I have it working now. Don 't ask me what I did, because I don 't
know. Some reboots did the the trick. It seem however, after a few
days, I also get weird signs. When I reboot, it works again. Sometimes
even restarting LCDd is helpful.
In my eyes the display is somehow living its own live. I tried to rule
some things out even with help from the lcdproc-list, but no succes.
