You want them both. The main thing you must "choose" is xvmc and the xvmc-like interface the unichrome chips have. But it also indicates to me that you will not gain a lot going from ata/133 to sata-150, though I have not tried it out. The limiting factor I believe is the rotational speed of the disk and the number of heads. But all these speeds are way more than the 2 mb/second needed for HDTV playback. If you started playing and recording tons of HDTV streams all over your disk, I could see the disk bandwidth being a bottleneck. >
