Best that I can tell, LiveTV is streamed from the backend (with the
tuner if you have multiple); it doesn't even appear to check local/NFS
mounts.

I wish it did, since things like HDTV can easily saturate 100M
ethernet when FF/REW are used.

If it did, I'd have the backend stream to a mount off the frontend..
Then the frontend could FF/REW off local disk.
