Hey folks, I have had a completely working mythbox (aside from xfs performance issues) for a long time now. I have 2 PVR-250 cards that I have had to manually set using the following modprobe.conf: # ivtv modules setup alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 ivtv alias char-major-81-1 ivtv options ivtv tuner=39,39
This has worked since September. I am running FC3 and recently upgraded to .17 using the atrpms. Everything worked post-upgrade which was several weeks ago. All of a sudden, after this mornings reboot (yes...i reboot daily to prevent weird performance problems), my tuner cards are not working right. Neither will change channel. They are stuck on channel 4 (their defaut channel). I am seeing some weird stuff in dmesg about these being detected as tuner type 50. I swear I've never seen that before. Anyway, here is some of my dmesg output: ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== ivtv: version 0.1.10 (0.1.10-48.4_pre2_ck100zz.rhfc3.at) loading ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.9-1.681_FC3 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.4 ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info ivtv: between the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines when ivtv: mailing the ivtv-devel mailinglist. ivtv: Autodetected WinTV PVR 250 card ivtv: Found an iTVC16 based chip ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:01:07.0[A] -> GSI 9 (level, low) -> IRQ 9 ivtv: Unreasonably low latency timer, setting to 64 (was 32) ivtv: pci: PCIBUS detected device: 0x01e0 vendor: 0x10de tveeprom: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 32062, rev = B185, serial# = 7363320 tveeprom: tuner = TCL 2002N (idx = 85, type = 50) tveeprom: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000) tveeprom: audio_processor = MSP3445 (type = 12) ivtv: i2c attach [client=tveeprom[0],ok] ivtv: Tuner Type 50, Tuner formats 0x00001000, Radio: yes, Model 0x00891615, Revision 0x00000000 ivtv: NTSC tuner detected ivtv: Radio detected tuner: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones tuner: chip found at addr 0xc2 i2c-bus ivtv i2c driver #0 ivtv: i2c attach [client=(tuner unset),ok] ivtv: i2c attach [client=MSP3445G-B8,ok] ivtv: Encoder revision: 0x02040024 ivtv: Configuring WinTV PVR 250 card with 5 streams ivtv: Create DMA stream 0 using 128 buffers of size 32768 ivtv: Create DMA stream 1 using 128 buffers of size 32768 ivtv: Create stream 2 using 128 buffers of size 52224 ivtv: Create DMA stream 3 using 128 buffers of size 32768 ivtv: Create stream 4 ivtv: Setting Tuner 39 tuner: type set to 39 (LG NTSC (newer TAPC series)) by ivtv i2c driver #0 ivtv: Setting audio matrix to input 3, output 1 ivtv: Switching standard to NTSC. saa7115: decoder set norm NTSC saa7115: set audio: 0x01 ivtv: Initialized WinTV PVR 250, card #0 ivtv: Autodetected WinTV PVR 250 card ivtv: Found an iTVC16 based chip ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:01:08.0[A] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 ivtv: Unreasonably low latency timer, setting to 64 (was 32) ivtv: pci: PCIBUS detected device: 0x01e0 vendor: 0x10de tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 32062, rev = B185, serial# = 7363128 tveeprom: tuner = TCL 2002N (idx = 85, type = 50) tveeprom: tuner fmt = NTSC(M) (eeprom = 0x08, v4l2 = 0x00001000) tveeprom: audio_processor = MSP3445 (type = 12) ivtv: i2c attach [client=tveeprom[1],ok] tuner: chip found at addr 0xc2 i2c-bus ivtv i2c driver #1 ivtv: i2c attach [client=(tuner unset),ok] saa7115: starting probe for adapter ivtv i2c driver #1 (0x10005) saa7115: detecting saa7115 client on address 0x42 saa7115: writing init values ivtv: i2c attach [client=saa7115[1],ok] The second card has basically the same output. I have tried commenting out the options line in modprobe.conf just to let it auto-detect (which never worked in the past). I'm basically completely lost now. This worked previously..nothing changed at all. Ugh! Thanks for any advice, Justin
