Axel doesn't seem to have any problems occasionally pulling select patches 
from CVS to fix things in his RPMs.  What's so different about KnoppMyth?  If 
you care about this bug so much, pull out the fix from CVS and stick it in 
the patch list of the debs for KnoppMyth.  As it only affects a tiny minority 
of people, I honestly don't see the point of me spending my time on it any 
more than I already have.

Guess you should have tested CVS before the release (which was announced a 
couple weeks ahead of time), then, or participated in the discussion where 
this change was made.
