Would you mind posting the modeline and the xorg.conf file you used? A lot of people have been trying to accomplish this. Your modeline may not necessarily work for any of the rest of us, but it may help point us in the right direction.

I personally have a 6600GT that I am about to try to get running DVI to my Sony. I tried unsuccessfully with my rather old Ti4600.
