I don't mean to cause offence but whoever it was (I can't remember his name) was stupid, the bios update failed (on trying a 'beta' bios ISTR) and he rebooted when he should have reflashed back either to the original or a 'stable' bios.
It was me :). No offence at all, it was really stupid, but not sure if on my side. There were no other ways than to reboot, as *EVERY* flash tried in Windows ended in the failed checksum. Well, I had finally to reboot. And no beta BIOS was tried, just plain 1009, which I now run (externally flashed). So, as a word of warning for others - Windows flashers *MAY* bring your BIOS to dead (or at least, to coma :).
