Well, you don't need the frequencies, but unless this has changed in
CVS in the last few days, "Hook it up, scan" only works if your cable
service uses QAM-256. You can, however, change that to QAM-64 with a
one-line change in:
mythtv/libs/libmythtv/siscan.cpp
Search for qam_256 and change it to qam_64 if a simple scan doesn't
find anything.
