I will give this a shot.. i've sen mythcommflag runaway everyonce in a
while so  that may be part of the issue.  Just pushing ffw/rr and
whatnot causes the video to go all over the place..  (not holding keys
down)

i've recently enabled the rencode after recording so i'm  curious to
see if that helps or makes a difference since i'm scaling down a tad
(use firewire in)
