I keep getting "No Such Process"

my readout would give one line something like this

mythuser 6385 1 1 ....(sorry, I'm off the screen)

I used the first number with

kill -9 6385

I'm going to try and reinstall to see if that solves the problem. Thanks for the help, I may just find myself in the same problem again.

ps -eaf | grep mtd

Will look like this:

mythtv    5571     1  1 19:59 ?        00:00:00 mtd -d
mythtv    5576  5424  0 19:59 pts/2    00:00:00 grep
mtd

kill -9 ProcessID (above it's 5571)

so...

kill -9 5571, would work for me.

Then, rerun the hdparm -t /dev/hdX
