Taylor, Guess I am wrong about it getting stuck on pid 0000
To answer question 1, Comcast in MA. Had to download and build it but its working.. yggdrasil dvbsnoop # dvbsnoop 0x1FFB dvbsnoop V1.3.85 -- http://dvbsnoop.sourceforge.net/ And it sits there forever, I let it run 5 mins, until I ctrl c Dvbtransport shows nothing on 1ffb. yggdrasil dvbsnoop # dvbtraffic 0000 3 p/s 0 kb/s 5 kbit 0030 19 p/s 3 kb/s 29 kbit 0031 19 p/s 3 kb/s 29 kbit 0800 9003 p/s 1652 kb/s 13541 kbit 0801 263 p/s 48 kb/s 395 kbit 0802 88 p/s 16 kb/s 133 kbit 0840 11043 p/s 2027 kb/s 16609 kbit 0841 263 p/s 48 kb/s 395 kbit 1fff 5071 p/s 931 kb/s 7627 kbit 2000 25778 p/s 4732 kb/s 38771 kbit -PID--FREQ-----BANDWIDTH-BANDWIDTH- I tried 1fff and it also sits there forever, also 5 mins. This is QAM c82 573000000. Program 1 is my local PBS channel. Program 2 is my local WB channel. I would have no problems with myth being able to see the channels are there but having to identify the channels manually. Maybe add in an option to do a PAT and PMT scan? It could also be that my cable company is not yet done setting this up in my area. 2 weeks ago I could get signal lock but dvbstream was reporting unknown FE. A week later dvbstream is working and this is where we are now. Not being finished is more likely. They do not even admit to sending the HD WB channel yet in their lineup. I skim this list once a week or so, so I sorry I didn't see this before.. Whomever it was having the problem I need the following questions answered: 1. What cable carrier are you using? 2. Do you know what frequencies you can get unencrpyted channels on? 3. If you know the answer to number 2, can you please tune to these with azap and run dvbsnoop 0x1FFB and let me know if you get anything back. What it sounds like is: Mpeg Transport spec defines the PAT & PMT which is what all these posts are talking about reading and getting video.. DVB and ATSC have another layer on top of this called SI (PSIP in ATSC).. If your cable carrier has unencrypted digital cable channels they are supposed to be sending ATSC PSIP, but it sounds like yours is not.. I really didn't want to make a digital cable scan that just looked at the PAT and PMT since you will not get channel names, or anything useful from just the PAT & PMT.
