I was talking to the debian64 maintainers yesterday (in #debian-amd64). They told me it seams MythTV is the only big application using pthread_rwlock_* and noone else has reported the problem before. They asked me if I could open a bug to the debian glibc package about it (http://bugs.debian.org/glibc). As I'm not really able to describe the error and you're the only one who understands what's going on there, could you just please open the bug? They really wanted to help me yesterday, but I wasn't able to provide more information. They also told me that on pure64 always NPTL is used and linux threads are never used. Perhaps you understand more of it ;) > MythTV compilation: gcc-3.3, because the required Ubuntu packages (e.g., > libGLU, libqt-mt) are compiled with gcc-3.3 and link with libstdc++5. I've never had any problems so far since I use your pthread patch. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
