I do, however, have a flicker problem with horizontal lines. It's
especially bad in an xterm with the hyphen character, but some
horizontal elements in the Myth GUI also flicker noticeably. I'm not
sure where the problem lies there, and I don't know if it will impact
video.
Welcome to interlaced video. It is not a problem and is operating
correctly. It will not affect video anymore than it is already
affected from the source (since 1080i video is interlaced). The solution
to the GUI flicker is to use a theme that's set up to minimize flicker. I
do not know if anyone has written one yet.
