I actually briefly capitulated and bought a Compaq Presario Desktop. I think I'm back to putting my own stuff together again.
doesn't surprise me ... compaqs are not good machines ... ever since Packard Bell dropped out of the race, compaq seemed to do a good job of being the most despised computer in the geek circles i hand out in (been in the industry for 10-15 yrs now) ... i have been impressed with many dells, but for my myth box, i have a mix of an orig dell and other upgrades i've purchased ... good balance b/n cost and quality...
