Sorry for the top-post, but am sleepy and can't think of the best place
to reply below.
If you're getting anything other than english as your default language,
it means that your browser is sending a language-accept code that
matches one of those languages.. If it's not, then there's a bug in the
get_browser_lang() function (which came from a pretty reliable source,
so I expect that it's fine).
The other option is that the broken version of mythweb left a language
cookie set. Try deleting all of the session data from php_sessions (if
you're using .18.1), or the mythweb_sessions table in the database (if
you're using svn).

fine when browse from the AVeL Link Player.
