First let me say thanks to everyone on this list for your invaluable
resources, especially Axel and Jarod.
I've got an (almost) successful setup with 2 250's and a cable stb w/
ir blaster. After following instructions from http://
www.lircsetup.com for my stb and it not working I finally found where
it says that atrpms lirc is only compiled with support for 2 devices
from here: http://lircsetup.com/lirc/trouble/kernsource.php
I don't mind following the instructions on compiling lirc by hand,
but my question is what to remove from my already working lirc atrpms-
testing stuff. Can I just yum remove (I'm on Amd64) lirc and lirc-
kmdl and not have to remove the lirc-lib, lirc-devices and lirc-lib-
devel or do I have to remove EVERYTHING lirc related and completely
start from scratch?
Am I the only one that's run in to this? I searched the archives and
came up with nada (though my search terms may not have been accurate).
