Thanks for the links, I did look there but missed the pictures at the right hand side.....looking at those, it seems to me that mine is REALLY old, it has a 2001 copyright, and the board looks a bit different. The thing that concerns me is that the frontend seems to be identified, but not as a philips or a Conexant but somthing else, and I don't know what it is... the line in dmesg shows DVB: registering frontend 0 (LSI L64781 DVB-T)... Should I give up and try another card or ??? If I can find one that has the correct chips on it :-) Thanks for any help given.
