To navigate the "pull-downs" you use right and left arrow which takes you to the next or previous item. They don't actually pull down. > 1. Use a mouse in the MythTV user and setup menus? Yes, it's possible. Install the vnc-server package. In xorg.conf add this line to the Section "Module" part: Load "vnc" That will let you connect from another box running a vnc client. > 2. Right, it boots on the monitor and switches to the > TV and that is very hard to read. On the monitor all I see is a blinking > cursor. You could press Alt-F1 to switch to a console. Or Alt-F2 to Alt-F6 to get more consoles up. Or, I think some video drivers (such as nVidia) allow you to do that. Have a look at ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86/1.0-6106/README.txt which may explain how to do it if you have an nVidia card. > 3. Can I set up a telnet server on the myth box? If so, how. Yes - better to use openssh-server. Google to find out how to do that. > One other thing, I once helped someone else when they were setting up myth, > and I remember there was some configuration to change the screen sizes so > parts of it would not be cut off.
