I am trying to get Myth working with firewire.
I followed the mythical Jarod guide for the most part
(I didn’t upgrade everything, full upgrade choked) and just can’t
seem to get this working. When the 0.18.113 or 0.18.114 backend is started I
get the following error: 2005-10-09 22:11:10.982 ERROR:
FireWire Input configured, but MythTV was not
compiled with FireWire
support. Recompile MythTV with FireWire supprt or remove the card
from configuration and restart MythTV. Other info that may be of use: Kernel -- kernel-smp.x86_64 2.6.13-1.1526_FC4 Myth -- mythtv-backend.x86_64 0.18.1-113.rhfc4.at Libraw --- libraw1394.x86_64 1.2.0-1_6.rhfc4.at libiec61883-utils.x86_64 1.0.0-7.rhfc4.at libavc1394.x86_64
0.5.0-0_6.rhfc4.at I had a proof of concept setup working a couple weeks ago
based on a 2.6.12 kernel Short of recompiling, is there any easy fix you guys
can recommend? Thanks in advance, John
