Thanks, Joshua, I'll give that a try. I had quite a few messages with Hans Verkuil on the ivtv-users list about this. He didn't mention any similar problems. I think I will try rolling back the driver though. I'll post my results.

I had the same problem. I eventually just reinstalled ivtv 0.4.0. But if you want to play with some thing interesting try this command

ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -q 1

This tells your ivtv card to use audio channel 1 instead of 0. I heard that the was a problem with the drivers no selecting the correct channel. Could be worth a try.

I upgraded my MythTV system from ivtv 0.4.0 and kernel 2.6.13.2
    <http://2.6.13.2> to ivtv
0.4.1 and kernel 2.6.14.4 <http://2.6.14.4> and now I get no sound
    on my PVR-350 from
either live tv or recorded programs.

Sound system is working - Xine playing DVDs and MythMusic output
    sound fine.

I've reset the settings in alsamixer/amixer: master and PCM to 75%
unmuted, CD (which the PVR-350 is plugged into) at 75%, muted and
    set as
the capture source. Internal cabling has not changed from my previously
    working ivtv 0.4.0 setup.

The correct msp3400 is being loaded -- I compiled ivtv from source and
    executed the recommended mv commands.

    Any suggestions?

    My init messages are below.

    Thanks,
    Kirk
