Thanks Brian, but I am right now trying to get a proper sound in FC4
and Xine without MythTV.
Have made a upgrade of alsa-lib and played around with .asoundrc (the
big one from Steve).
I think I having something pretty working right now.
As I said I uses Steves .asoundrc but have changed the first block to:
---------------------------------------------------------
pcm.!default {
type plug
## Uncomment the following to use mixed analog by default
slave.pcm "dmix-analog"
## Uncomment the following to use unmixed digital by default
# slave.pcm "digital"
# slave.pcm "digital-hw"
## Uncomment the following to use mixed digital by default
# slave.pcm "dmix-digital"
}
---------------------------------------------------------
When using any of the "digital" variants I get the cracky sound but
with the analog variant it seems to work fine.
(Q) What implication does this have? Should it be fine och should I
dig into it and try to get a working digital variant to improve the
sound even more?
