Hi there,

anybody else trying to build a DVB-T MythBox in or around the Capital of
Lower Saxony? If so, have you managed to fill your EPG using just EIT?
If I try, quite a number of stations (including the national ZDF!) keeps
showing up as <Unknown>... So I am currently relying on tvtoday as
channel source, but that's somewhat dissatisfying since xmltv is quite
slow and always threatened with being rendered dysfunctional if the
tvtoday guys again change their web site design.

BTW, is there a way to use *both* xmltv and EIT to fill the EPG, but
with EIT data overriding xmltv? That would be at least a parital solution...

Finally, what's your experience with signal strength / jittering /
jerking? Personally, I do live in Lehrte, and although signal strength
seems ok (I'm using an in-door antenna with integrated amplifier), there
are *lots* of audio and video dropouts (in particular when watching life
tv). Seems the so-called "Everythere TV" (as DVB-T is promoted in
Germany) is rather some kind of "Somewhere TV"... ;-)

Anyway, have a goot start into the week --

        Torsten
