Unfortunately, we need to run from the .bat file to set the heap size. 
Otherwise, the default heap size (64 MB or so) is way too small for MZmine.

AFAIK MZmine manual states clearly that you should start using the .bat file.

Another option would be using Java Web Start, which would allow us to set the 
heap size. But that also has disadvantages, e.g. it requires a signed 
certificate and it would not work without internet connection.
