Gary,
I need to establish a few things first, if you could address each point it 
will help speed up what is going on.
 
1) When the S100-IDE card initialises which led's light up D18 or D19 (any 
others)
2) which CF card socket do you think is Slot A
3) what is the date on the schematic you are using to come to this 
conclusion.
4) what CPU card are you using
