Minix 3.0 is even worse requiring a pentium as a minimum instruction set.

However, Minix 1.5 ran on XT class hardware (I had it running on a Tandy 
1000sx around the winter of 1992?  Or did I already own a 286 by then...  
Can't remember) and 1.5 added 68000 support.  So theoretically you could 
run that today?

If you found a way to put a PDP-11 on the bus, real (good luck) or more 
likely emulated, I've run unix5, 6, 7 on simh emulator.  I've also run *bsd 
on a VAX although that would be hard work.
