I just upgraded our monitoring system from Nagios 1.2 to 2.4. After doing this, I've noticed that hosts are now showing as Unreachable rather than Down when they are not pingable. For each of these hosts, I see UNREACHABLE for the Host Status and "(No output!)" for Status Information.
I am assuming the check-host-alive command is working as this is only the case for 2 out of 144 hosts. Does anyone know why I do not see DOWN for the Status and the output of the command for the Status Information?
