if you need to receibe traps from routers, switches, etc., snmptt is a good
option: http://snmptt.sourceforge.net/docs/snmptt.shtml

An also, you can integrate Nagios with NagTrap:
http://nagtrap.org/doku.php/en:nagtrap

Search for a HOWTO. For example the following looks good:
