Things have been DEAD and we were brainstorming on what to do to rustle up some clients. What we did was decide that Wednesdays will be Senior Day. Also we're offering discounts to all students and staff at the schools. We made up flyers explaining the discounts and highlighting our services and new products in the beauty supply store and sent them out to all of the local mobile parks, high schools and both colleges in the area. We made seperate flyers since the target clientel were so different. Yesterday a new client came in for a pedi and I was telling her about the specials and discounts and she said she was a tutor and she went to most of the schools in the area and if I gave her the flyers and my cards she'd pass them out. Heck ya! Free advertising, you betcha! I called the local Universitey where I worked for 8 years and got our special put up on their inside TV station. So far we've had a few new customers in the store and hopefully our phones will be ringing with the senoirs who are coming down for the winter. Tuesday I plan on calling the parks I sent the flyers to so that maybe that will persuade them to post the flyers so that they're just not from some faceless place but from someone who actually called and touched base.Goodness, this has turned into quite the novel, sorry about that, LOL. Just wanted to share in case any of you wanted to use our idea.
