Lynnette...You bring up good points...Yet these girls were actually excited to hear what they have yet to learn in our industry..(one of our own from BT has the school as an account so to speak there and visits to see how its going on Mondays) My concern was the was the passion for the profession they chose and seemed it turned into all about the hours rather than the head start they could have. Please understand too that my feelings didnt have anything to do with it being an HRTE class. Just had to throw that in there...When I was in school, I would have given my right arm at the time to sit in front of someone already success and learn the ropes from them...esp given an opportunity that they had with Entity paying half the class price for them. Shame on the school then for having them miss out. Guess its them I should feel disappointed in.

When you go to school, you think that the teachers know what they are talking about and know it all. It is not until we are out in the real world that we realize that the schools taught us nothing. I know when I left school I thought I knew all I needed. I soon found out I was wrong. Another thing-- was your class on a school day that they canceled? I know that I wanted to not miss a day of school when I went for nails. When I went back for skin care, I knew more than the instructor, but would not miss a day unless the school was giving me hours to take a class. I would not be insulted. Their mindset is not like ours. YET. We can only hope. Maybe if you approach the school and have them pay the extra money and do the class for them during the school hours????? Just a suggestion. I know the schools in my area would LOVE to have someone come in to teach. (likely because they do not have to and they cannot because they are not up to date) Do not take it personally!! buenos dias, Lynnette ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tammy Warner" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, October 20, 2008 3:36:49 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: NailTech:: What do you make of this situation... Here we have girls going thru a nail technology course...all ready to come to a class for $50. and backed out because they realize they arent getting hours from the school?????????? They want to become part of the nail profession yet to me this looks like they think they are going to come out into a gravy job and dont need further education...would you not jump all over the opportunity to mingle and learn from those that are already successful and willing to share???...instead its all about getting hours... am I all wet over here or is this insulting?? Mind you it wasnt the money issue... I am so disappointed in thier behavior towards this opportunity.
