Sue and my peers.....Ya know how when you read somethang and you respond
real quick?
Well I do that and click draft.
A wise Greek woman told me once.... that feelings are not all ways what
they seem. If you wait just a lil while they will change. Well in this
case..they didn't! LOLOL
Hey Yall,
If I had a SPA with natural spring-fed pools (water running thru my spa like
France or Switzerland) I would most def have a "holistic"section where I
would have the "doctor fish" pedicures. A pool with water that is constantly
moving out is a logical answer for the sanitation issue. It would be next
to the bee venom therapy.and leech therapy! Oh yeahhh
Bee venom simulates the release of cortisone (cortisol) and is therefore
effective in the treatment of rheumatic diseases, especially arthritis and
multiple sclerosis (MS).
Check this out...Mu Health Insur co...
1.
Aetna considers medicinal leech (Hirudo medicinalis) therapy medically
necessary for any of the following conditions:
1. Poor venous drainage (venous congestion/venous outflow obstruction); *
or*
2. Salvage of vascularly compromised flaps (muscle, skin, and fat
tissue surgically removed from one part of body to another); *or*
3.
Salvage of vascularly compromised replants (limbs or other body parts
re-attached after traumatic amputation).
I believe in Bee Venom and Leech therapy......................BUT NOT Detox
Foot Baths or Detox foot patches. Now(my research efforts and opinion is)
thats a bunch of crap. I know..I'm prob gonna get many replies on this one
cuz you might offer this as a service. Seeing is believing right?
I went to a "health expo" and tried the Detox foot pedicure. I had read up
on it for several weeks before I tried it.
So this chiropractor proceeds to explain the process, take my $35 and start
to hook me and my mom up to our units/ device. I asked this guy a few
questions he couldn't answer. Like why do other systems say to use distilled
water vs tap water vs spring water ect...He could not answer that.
Anyway, I asked him to hook up that tub across from me that had no one in
it. He gave me a crazy look but realized that he would loose our money if he
didn't hook the empty tub up.
15 mins into the process my mom bales because the guy claims that the "long
stringy thangs" were parasites coming out from my mom's feet! She is like
this is a load of scata' lolol !
The tub with no one in it .....was turning a clay/brown color JUST LIKE
MINE!!! lol I spent my 3O or so min's in the tub watching it go through the
rainbow of ickiness wondering are these people serious?
Like most of you, I do a ton of research on products and techniques before I
use them in my business. For the most part I have to believe in it to offer
it.
For me it boils down to this. Do I believe in a placebo effect? Sure.
Do I offer a "placebo service" or a service/technique that is a load of crap
but can make the client think it is working? LIKE-polish w/ calcium or green
tea or Detox Foot bath/pads..... Hell no.
I look for the "catch" in all the products/service/techniques.
If a product/technique has a clinical study or findings that satisfy the
skeptic in me then Im all in.
Like having the "doctor fish" in a spa that has a natural spring running
thru it. I say yeah.
In the the salon..... fish actually eating enough dead skin off your feet
to make a difference? Hardly. I give them props for being clever....after
all they make it clear that the real pedicure comes after the toe-fishing :)
Sorry sooooo long
