I have tried polishing then capping with gel, it does not work well. It
either chips off, or doesn't cure correctly.
I just did a fill on myself, Clear gel then two coats of the gel/polish
mixture and then a coat of finish gel. Will have to see how it wears now.

Are you guys talking about using this polish/gel mixture over natural
nails or acrylics? And I don't want to sound stupid here, I am a new nail
tech, but why do you have to mix it? Can't you just polish the nail and then
apply the gel over top, then cure? Please be gentle with you remarks.

I finally did mine this afternoon. Turned out great so far. Will see how
they do through the torture I put them through. I used Zoya- Tess and clear
T-3 fibergel. Very pretty!!!

I don't file them. After the last coat has cured, I seal them with a
tackless sealer I got from Nailite (I love that stuff!!!) do cuticle oil and go.

{font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;} when you do this do you just apply like
a polish and cure 2 min. between coats then do you have to file then seal or
just apply and go after all curing is complete?

It wasn't scientific at all. I just kept mixing in the polish until I
thought it was dark enough. Sorry.

So Kim, what was the ratio you used for the polish/gel and how much quantity
did you end up with to get adequate coverage? Debbie W. -----Original

Subject: NailTech:: Re: Zoya/gel I tried this last night with regular
polish I got from Naillite and it worked great! It was pretty see through
(can't think of the word I want here) but after abiut 4 coats is was great.
We'll see how it works! I will try it next with soakable gels! Thanks for
the idea!!! Kim T --- On Thu, 11/6/08, Michelle Phoenix <[EMAIL
