I have had contact dermatitis for about 30 years.  A little over a year ago it
got worse than it ever had in all those years!  It got so nasty, I was scared
to go into the Drs., because I was afraid I might lose a finger or two.  I
finally went, and he perscribed a new med that I had never used before, and it
did start to heal a llittle, but went right back to nasty.  It was so bad that
I had to rub a numbing cream on it to be able to use my hands or get any
sleep.  It was one of my clients that said to me....didnt this start to get bad
around the time you tried some new products last year?  So I dug out my
invoices, and sure enough it started when I had bought Entity.   When that was
done....TT came out with her A+ liquid, than she came out with another one that
was even a darker purple.  At that point I went back to using my TT orig.
liquid, which is almost clear, and it started to heal up.  I have a little
flair up now and then, but as long as I do not use a liquid that is purple/blue
I am able to keep it under control.   Just a though.  Good luck, that stuff can
drive you crazy!!!!

I HATE when that happens and with this laptop it happens alot!  Anyway...don't
make light of what you have.

CVS sells white cotton gloves in a 2pck...I think they are about 5 bucks....I
have about 10 pairs with the fingers cut out if you want them!!  (they have
been washed of course!) They come in a box near the bandages in that aisle....
Hope you feel better soon....

Subject: NailTech:: Eczema and topical dermatitis

Hey everyone. I just want to bring this subject to the forefront.
I have had eczema all my life. In my 20's I found out I had food allergies. I
cut most of the foods out and the rashes subsided. Never went away completely
but I had it under control.
The past few weeks have been awful with this rash. It is all over both my
hands. Just putting my hands in water makes the rash welt. Gloves? Well that is
helping the rash spread.
Saturday was the worst they have ever been. I was paying attention to where the
clients held my hands and they are resting right on the area where the rash is.
I am NOT going to say it out loud, but I am positive that the products are
aggravating the eczema.
Yesterday the rash began to spread up my wrist. The itch is driving me nuts. I
am sipping liquid Benadryl to help control it. I think I20may become addicted
to it!!!!
I had to go to the doctor today for this. She put me on Prednisone and the
strongest topical steroid available in the US. I am going to run to Wal Mart to
see if I can find some thin cotton gloves. I have a pair from Star Nail, but
they are not good enough.
I know that the chemicals did not cause this, but it is surely exacerbating the
rash. I have never had it this bad, (Pati, I got your message on FB--- PLEASE
know that this is NOTHING compared to what you went through--I am just
"a-bitchin.")
Anyway, just take precautions to help prevent getting skin rashes. Also, the
doctor does not want me to wash all the time. Water is NOT good for the skin!!!
Take care of your hands. They are your livelyhood!
buenos dias,
Lynnette
