There is no damage to the natural nail if applied correctly. Gel is relatively easy to file off. Apply like polish and cure under a UV light. Remember to tap your brush at the free edge to get a good seal. Sherry Hubbard

If it was over Polish, maybe they are using ZOYA's polish with a UV TopCoat. I believe that ZOYA is the only polish that you can use under a Gel.
