Just a quick update....I am feeling Great! But I am going to have surgery tomorrow....yet ANOTHER little glitch. See cehmo and radiation are great for getting rid of the cancer but creates havoc on your body...in this case..the left breast, which had radiation needs to have what is called for short a "Lat Flap" surgery. The PS (plastic surgeon) makes about a 5inch incision on my back...over the lattitimus dorsi muscleand then he will take skin and muscle and "tunnel" it into my left breast where he has reopened about 1/2 the old incision.OK picture your pants too tight and you add material to the seam....got it now? LOL! the reason he tunnels it is because it is vascular and you don't want it to die.... Because the breast was radiated it no longer can stretch and actually will continually shrink and get firmer and tighter and harder.....so the PS said it would be more comfortable for me afterwards. OK comfort i can do.....he will also tweak a few other things ...i told him while I was under I need an oil change and tune-up! He will inject one of my scars (for my port) with, I think, cortisone....I heard this is a painful shot so i figured he should do it while I am "out". He will also remove 2 or 3 moles i have on my upper back...i figured he was right there...why not? I will get all the painful stuff over with at once! So anyway i probably won't be on here until early next week....I believe it is a 2 or 3 day stay.... Take care...behave...and i'll see y'all next week! <javascript:void(0)> Image removed by sender.
